SWN-027: Empowering Md. Mustafa

Humanity, being the pinnacle of Allah’s creation, is inherently designed to reflect beauty and dignity. Yet, physical disabilities often lead to societal neglect and underestimation. Md. Mustafa, a rickshaw puller in the Banani area of Dhaka, exemplifies this struggle. Despite losing his lower left leg, he tirelessly supported his wife and three daughters by pedaling his rickshaw using only his right foot.

Financial constraints prevented Mustafa from acquiring a motorized auto-rickshaw, which would have significantly eased his workload. Understanding his plight, Silent Hands Support decided to intervene. On February 2, 2019, we fulfilled Mustafa's long-cherished dream by providing him with an auto-rickshaw.

This initiative not only transformed Mustafa's means of livelihood but also restored his dignity and hope. With the new auto-rickshaw, Mustafa experienced a newfound sense of satisfaction and the promise of a brighter future. Silent Hands Support is honored to have played a role in his journey towards a better and more stable life.
