SWN-029: Ramadan Food and Eid Clothing Initiative

Ramadan, a month of immense spiritual significance for Muslims, emphasizes the importance of Sahri and Iftar meals. Recognizing the disparity between wealthy and underprivileged families during this time, Silent Hands Support launched the Ramadan Food Pack, Eid Food, and Clothing project to support disadvantaged communities.

In the second phase of this project, we assisted 150 families in the Kurigram district of Bangladesh. Each family received a package worth Tk 1700.00, including 5 kg rice, 1 kg pulses, 1 liter oil, 1 kg salt, 1 kg chickpeas, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg puffed rice, 2 kg onions, 0.5 kg dates, 2 kg Polaw rice, 1 packet vermicelli, Tk 100 for cow's milk on Eid, a lungi, a saree, and chocolates for the children.

This initiative, completed on May 25, 2019, aimed to alleviate the struggles of underprivileged families, allowing them to observe Ramadan and celebrate Eid with dignity and joy. Silent Hands Support remains dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
